Accreditations & Certifications

Solus Christus is in an ongoing process of teacher, leadership, and school training and accreditation by way of two professional organizations:

(1) The Charlotte Mason Institute (CMI) provides rigorous advanced teacher training, development, and support for our teachers in leadership. Solus Christus is an approved CMI school and cooperative. We are currently seeking Charlotte Mason Certified™ (CMC) Trained Teacher certification and institute accreditation through CMI’s Blue Open Door program for Charlotte Mason schools, as we are ever committed to researching and implementing the most updated and best practices in the field of CM education;

(2) The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) is an accrediting organization made up of a network of Christian schools, educators and specialists committed to Biblically-based education with results that are measurable. Deniese Brewer, the Founder of Solus Christus, holds current ACSI Certified Educator Head of School accreditation.*

Note: *Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) funding requires that all teaching services be provided by an individual or facility accredited by a state, regional, or accrediting organization. Solus Christus meets this requirement through individual ACSI Educator accreditation above.

Higher Learning

SCCA offers advanced college placement with Christian Leaders Institute (CLI). Christian Leaders Institute maintains academic partnerships with the colleges and seminaries listed below to enable students wishing to pursue Christian undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral studies following studies at our onsite Charlotte Mason cottage school, and for a fraction of the cost of traditional educational institutions. Mrs. Brewer, our Head of School, is the Regional Mentor assigned to students enrolled in CLI degree programs within the Grand Canyon State. CLI is a United States Department of Education candidate institute for U.S.D.E.-recognized accreditation. The College holds Applicant Status with the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) Commission on Accreditation and is approved by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) through the ABHE. Applicant Status is a membership recognition procedure granted to those institutions that meet the ABHE Conditions of Eligibility, and that possess such qualities as may provide a basis for achieving Candidate Status within a five-year period. CLC’s Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) listing and current status can be found here.
